The last few weeks have been hectic with theatre rehearsals for our next show coming up this week and I haven't been able to pick up my Ukulele much. (Event details at the end of the post.) But yesterday I did, and got around doing a cover of one of my recent favourites - Belageddu from Kirik Party.
Kirik Party is a wonderful film and almost a musical with lots of song sequences coupled with a musical background score, playing a major part in the narration. Belageddu is my favourite from the album consisting of six songs, all of which have been chart toppers. More information in the end.
I must add that not knowing Kannada, I had a hard time learning the lyrics. So please don't mind if I've made any mistakes with the lyrics or the pronunciation.

It was so much fun performing at BITS Pearl '17 and I haven't got over the ecstasy yet. We at DCH were truly overwhelmed by the positive feedback we received and if not for the supportive audience, we wouldn't have made it. Thank you to everyone who joined us. 🙂
And for those of you who couldn't join us this time, here's sharing a few pictures!

Hello everyone! I'm excited to tell you about my upcoming play, a DCH production in arrangement with Samuel French, New York, at the BITS Pearl fest 2017. 🙂
It's always a pleasure working with Dramatic Circle Hyderabad under Pranava Singhal's direction but what excites me the most is that this is going to be my first time performing at my alma mater after graduation in 2014.
Pearl is the annual national cultural fest at Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences - Hyderabad campus and this year's edition, titled A Carnivalous Episode is happening between March 17th and 19th. You can check out the lineup of events here.
Want to know more about the play?
'Hey! Who's got my trousers?' is a west end farce written by Ray Golton and John Antrobus, and I play a policeman in it. No spoilers, guys! Come, watch the play at BITS Hyderabad on March 18 at 12 midnight.
See you soon!
Have you been fascinated by the sound of ukulele just like me? The first time I noticed this instrument was at a Benny Dayal concert where he performed solo with a ukulele. I didn't know about the instrument back then and I was quite surprised at this little wonder. Too tiny to be a guitar yet so like a guitar, I was quite fascinated by it ever since.
